Jason – Hi and welcome to another edition of Dream Builders dot Club. I’m Jason Ching and I’m here with my co-host…
Ronnie – Ronnie Cruz…
Jason – …and today we’re going to dig deeper into Contacting and Inviting. In our last episode we covered [what] the three fundamentals of building your Network Marketing Business [were] so in this episode, we’re actually going to dig really into deep into Contacting and Inviting.
This is going to be one of the most important and also the most difficult thing for most people in the industry.
There are innumerable benefits to attending events and for any serious network marketer, we become aware of more and more of these benefits every event we attend. So the first piece of advice I always give if someone asks why attending events is so important is “attend the event and you’ll see.”
Now of course the just come and see for yourself advice usually isn’t enough for most people especially those newer to our profession, so here are just a few reasons why I think (if you want to truly succeed in this business) you should never miss an event.
The following is Part 1 in a three part series I originally wrote for and posted on my other blog at RonnieCruz.com. The subject was so relevant to Network Marketing that we wanted to share this post here at Dream Builders Club. So enjoy Part 1: Will Smith and the Success Treadmill.
In the last article, we discussed why your Network Marketing WHY is so important to your success in building your business. In today’s post, let’s expand on that and talk about what exactly your WHY is.
Your WHY consists of two parts. The first, are the things in your life you want to change. Whether it’s a current condition that gives us discomfort and is a source of unhappiness and discontent or a past event or circumstance that you wholeheartedly wish never to repeat, people often turn to business opportunities like Network Marketing as the answer. After all, didn’t we all join our opportunities in search of a solution, a fix perhaps to the issues we may have been facing?
The second part of the WHY is the vision, the dream that Network Marketing can bring us our ideal life. It is the hope for something better, that Network Marketing can be the vehicle that will usher us towards our every goal and aspiration.
It is the combination of these two things — the things in your life you want to change and the vision of what you want your life to change into — that makes up your Network Marketing WHY. And the real beauty of it is this WHY, this power source that compels you to push forward and build your business, eventually will be realized and in the end becomes you STORY.
I’ve heard some Network Marketing trainers say that your why won’t build your business. While this is true in the practical sense, your why is critical if you’re going to get through the trials and tribulations that we all inevitably face when building this business. When we say “why” we’re not necesarily talking about the nice cars and large luxurious homes, extravagant dinners at expensive restaurants or vacations to all the worlds exotic locations. Certainly these material things that this business can afford us are great, but what we’re after here is something that touches you on a much deeper level. I am an introvert. It’s just my nature. Heck, I can be downright shy if the circumstances are right. So, when I found myself faced with challenge of having to speak with strangers to build my business… I’m sure you can imagine my reaction.
This was eight years ago and unfortunately for me I was with a company and a team that didn’t really provide much by way of practical tools and strategies of meeting people, of prospecting – the lifeblood of any Network Marketing business. Left with no other options, I would leave my house every evening to “prospect”. I failed miserably. Continue reading “Prospecting: A Shy Guy’s Worst Nightmare”
